Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Management

Master Builders Association MemberAlkene employs an Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Management System designed and maintained to the standards AS/NZS 4801:2001 and ISO 14001:2004. This system is subjected to ongoing annual review from independent bodies to ensure the highest standards of safety and environmental management are maintained and improved upon.

Licences

Environmental Protection Licence

Alkene holds an Environmental Protection Licence issued by the Department of Environment and Climate change for the transportation of hazardous and industrial wastes.

Friable Asbestos Removal Licence

As holders of an AS1 Workcover Friable Asbestos Removal Licence, we are able to complete any type or size of asbestos removal / remediation project ranging from industrial sites to commercial centres, hospitals and schools.

Insurances

Contractor’s Pollution Liability

A Contractor’s Pollution Liability policy (asbestos abatement and removal operations) is also held on an occurrence basis to the value of $10,000,000.00.

Public Liability

Public Liability insurance is held to a value of $20,000,000.00.

Workers’ Compensation

Workers’ Compensation insurance is held on an ongoing full time basis.
